Enhancement's 10th Annual Spring Dinner Fundraiser, Road to Wellness, honored Drs. Edwin & Howard Hayashi for their dedication and extraordinary work in serving our community over the years. The event was held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Edna Valley Vineyard from 6-10 p.m. Guests enjoyed an exciting and elegant evening including a gourmet dinner paired with local wines created by renowned Chef Evan Treadwell of the Lidoat the Dolphin Bay Resort, Live Music, a Silent Wine Auction, Silent Auction, and a fantastic Live Auction. The evening festivities were emceed by Wendy Thies. (See MENU and Sample Auction Items below.)
This was a wonderful opportunity for the community to show their appreciation for these two outstanding individuals, and at the same time raise awareness and funds to support the amazing women in our community who have moved beyond breast cancer on their road to wellness through Enhancement's locally focused empowerment programs and assistance.

"ENCHANTED APRIL"
was held on
Saturday, April 24, 2010
Our 9th Annual Spring Dinner with the movie theme, "Enchanted April" was a wonderful success. Chef Evan Treadwell, of the Lido Restaurant at the Dolphin Bay Resort, provided the gourmet cuisine for this elegant sit-down dinner; Gil Stork was our auctioneer extraordinaire and Wendy Thies, emcee for the evening. This very special award-winning movie shows how we often need to remind ourselves of who we are at heart so we can bring joy back into our lives. It is a period piece that takes place in the 1920's in Italy and so our evening carried an Italian theme from the cuisine to the decor, and inspired us all! (See the MENU and sample auction items below!)
The dinner was generously sponsored by Audio Ecstasy and the Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa.
This year, we were pleased to give out our special Enhancement logo silver pin to our 2010 Volunteer of the Year, Donna Van Noy. She has been involved with Enhancement for many years, working weekly in our office with the Breast Cancer Care Fund and volunteering at many of our events. We we happy to give her this much-deserved pin.

We also gave out an award to Dr. Tom Spillane for his exceptional service to the breast cancer community. This is the second year we are giving out this award, which we named the Liz Elliott Award, after the oncology nurse navigator who inspired us, by her devoted care and service, to create this award. She was our first recipient last year.

Our organization is growing, and with the present economy we need to make sure we have the funds to assist more breast cancer survivors as we grow.
