Enhancement, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of life for breast cancer survivors. We have programs for individual survivors as well as nationally recognized, state-of-the-art educational seminars on lymphedema for those who work with breast cancer survivors.

Our CREATIVE HEALING RETREATS FOR BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS spring from the experiences of an artist who found healing in her art during treatment. Our retreats provide guided access to a variety of art forms, from music to journaling and yoga. Attendees learn, relax, share and heal in a beautiful setting with new friends.  Our DONNA VAN NOY BREAST CANCER CARE FUND assists women in San Luis Obispo County area who are unable to afford prostheses, lymphedema treatment supplies or any breast-cancer-related treatment needs. This fund was created in 2008 from a generous donation by the Central Coast Women's League, which continues to support this fund. We also want to thank J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines for their generous October donation of more than $2,500 to this fund. We have distributed more than $40,000 in assistance to survivors since its inception and this new donation will help many more survivors in need.
Donna Van Noy, a wonderful friend, was the volunteer in charge of the paperwork for this fund. In the summer of 2011, she lost her valiant 14-year battle and in her honor, we have re-named this fund The Donna Van Noy Breast Cancer Care Fund. FREE CLASSES: Enhancement is pleased to announce our new FREE CLASSES for ALL CANCER SURVIVORS. (Family members, caregivers and loved ones are also welcome.)
- FREE WEEKLY YOGA CLASSES; WEDNESDAYS, 4:00-5:00 p.m. at the SLO VETERANS MEMORIAL HALL on the corner of Monterey and Grand in San Luis Obispo, in partnership with the San Luis Obispo County Parks Department. Newly diagnosed or 30 years out, all cancer survivors* are invited to attend these specialized yoga classes that will offer gentle stretches, breathing, relaxation techniques and tools to help improve your quality of life. Taught by master yoga teacher Shoosh Lettick Crotzer who has been a yoga therapist and instructor for more than 37 years. Her emphasis is on teaching people with special needs, and she has designed these classes specifically for cancer survivors. Call 771-8640 for further information, or just show up! - FREE LYMPHEDEMA EDUCATION CLASSES: 4th TUESDAY of EVERY MONTH, 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the HEARST CANCER RESOURCE CENTER next to French Hospital on Johnson Ave, Suite 201A, San Luis Obispo. Taught by Lymhedema Therapist, (and Enhancement Board Secretary) Leslyn Keith, M.S.,OTR/L these classes provide information on the signs and symptoms of lymphedema as well as treatment options.
