Dear Friends of Enhancement:
Enhancement has had a very exciting year working to improve the quality of life for breast cancer survivors. We now divide our work into two categories: providing education to the people who treat breast cancer and offering direct assistance to survivors.
In the first category, we are working to educate doctors about the diagnosis and treatment of lymphedema, a painful accumulation of fluid that occurs in many breast cancer survivors. This is an area that affects their quality of life, yet many doctors are still unfamiliar with the symptoms. We also are holding Networking & Educational Seminars for Lymphedema Therapists to offer them the most up-to-date treatment information, and a place for them to share their ideas and concerns. To address the needs of the survivors, we are involved in other exciting projects. (See HOME PAGE and FUTURE PROJECTS PAGE)
